Sakshi & Somansh - Part II
And we land in Dubai! The much awaited start of the wedding weekend was in front of us. That’s exactly what Sakshi & Somansh wanted. A weekend away with their families, all their favourite people under one roof, and back-to-back celebrations that didn’t miss a beat. One and Only Royal Mirage was the perfect backdrop of this celebration. Wedding was to be held on the 19th floor of the iconic Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. Planned by the emaculate team of wedding planners at Amara Weddings by RGV.
If you haven’t read how it all began, start with Part 1: Bhilwara — where the foundation of this wedding story was laid.
The first gathering in Dubai was intentionally unhurried—a welcome lunch that set the tone for the weekend ahead.
It was light, easy, and warm. Guests arrived, reconnected, and settled into the rhythm of the celebrations. No spectacle, no pressure—just the comfort of familiar faces in a new city.
An Evening in Dubai
The celebrations then moved to The Theater at Fairmont Dubai—a venue that doesn’t just host an event, but stages an experience.
With a stage extending deep into the audience, the layout ensured that every seat felt close to the action. Guests weren’t just watching the evening—they were inside it, held from start to finish.
We began by creating a series of portraits of Sakshi and Somansh across the venue. Every corner offered a distinct visual language—dramatic lighting, layered textures, reflective surfaces. While the entire space was inherently photogenic, the intention was to move through it with purpose, crafting frames that felt cinematic rather than incidental.
In parallel, our photobooth team worked through the room capturing guests in their black-tie best. Couples, solo portraits, intimate groups, and large gatherings, each shot composed with clarity and character. The brief was simple: no templated posing, no repetition—just honest, well-directed portraits that people would actually want to keep.
Only then did the evening fully shift into performance.
With a stage extending deep into the audience, the layout ensured that every seat felt close to the action. Guests weren’t just watching the show—they were inside it, held from start to finish.
The night unfolded as an immersive blend of fine dining and live performance. International acts, music, and choreography flowed seamlessly through the space, while familiar Bollywood tracks punctuated the evening, lifting the energy, drawing people in, and making the experience feel both global and personal.
The culinary experience matched the scale. Thoughtfully curated dishes, refined presentation, and consistent quality ensured that the dining felt just as considered as the performances.
Service was attentive yet unobtrusive, allowing the night to move effortlessly. The interiors—stylish, luxurious, and ambient—created a setting that felt elevated without losing warmth.
It was a spread, a spectacle, and a statement, an unapologetically strong start to the Dubai festivities.

Tiffany Brunch
The following day unfolded at Trèsind, one of Dubai’s most celebrated culinary destinations. Known for its modern Indian approach and immersive dining experiences, Trèsind has built a reputation for pushing boundaries while remaining deeply rooted in flavour and storytelling.
The Tiffany Brunch carried a clear visual identity—white-forward with moments of Tiffany blue woven through the space. Sakshi and Somansh stayed understated in whites and beige, while their bridesmaids and groomsmen brought in striking accents of Tiffany blue, creating a cohesive yet layered palette.
But beyond the aesthetics, this event belonged to emotion.
What began as a brunch slowly unfolded into a deeply personal exchange. The couple shared their vows—raw, present, and unguarded. This was followed by speeches from family members that shifted the room entirely. It became less of an event and more of a collective release—equal parts laughter and tears, with emotion taking over in waves.
At one point, Sakshi and Somansh stepped away from the crowd, taking a quiet moment together—almost as if pausing the day to take it in. Meanwhile, the celebration continued organically around them, with guests moving into lunch within the warm, intimate setting of the wine cellar.
Later, we moved into a more relaxed, playful energy. In the central courtyard of One&Only Royal Mirage, we created a series of portraits of Sakshi and Somansh, along with their friends—sunlit, effortless, and full of personality. The afternoon also brought with it a lighthearted highlight—a hilariously chaotic bouquet toss that had everyone fully invested.
But if there was one detail that stood out, it was Sakshi’s bouquet bag. Subtle, unexpected, and ahead of its time, it quietly set the tone for her overall styling. This was July 2025, but her bridal choices already felt like they belonged to what’s coming next. Honestly, if we’re not featuring an entire 2x2 gallery dedicated to it, are we even doing it justice?
SANGEET
If the Tiffany Brunch was about intimacy, the Sangeet was pure release.
Set Ballroom of One&Only Royal Mirage, the evening shifted the wedding back into full scale. This was where everything built over the past few days, dance, music, relationships, came together in one high-energy, fully immersive celebration.
Every performance through the night carried its own theme. Sakshi had thoughtfully dedicated pieces to different members of her family, each one personal, intentional, and deeply moving, turning the Sangeet into something far more emotional than just a night of performances.
Payal and Hasti from One Stop Dance led the choreography, crafting a sequence of performances that felt personal to the couple while still engaging the entire room. Families didn’t just perform, they showed up! Friends didn’t just participate, they took over the floor.
The evening moved like a live production. Acts flowed into each other, energy kept building, and there was never a moment where the room dipped. From tightly choreographed group pieces to spontaneous bursts of dancing, the Sangeet held its pace from start to finish.
Wedding
The wedding itself was set at one of the most iconic venues in the world - the 19th floor of the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab.
Elevated, dramatic, and unmistakably grand, the setting carried the weight of the entire journey that had led to it. Planned by Amara Weddings by RGV, every element felt precise, controlled, and intentional—allowing the scale to exist without overwhelming the emotion.
Through The Hiraaya Lens
This wedding didn’t chase perfection—it felt real. Big families, unexpected weather, emotional speeches, surprise dances, and an after party that stretched into sunrise. It was beautiful in all the ways that matter. And we were lucky to be there for it.
