Every wedding has a starting point. Sakshi and Somansh’s began not with a destination, but with roots.

Sakshi is from Bhilwara. Somansh is from Jaipur. And before Dubai entered the picture, this wedding unfolded exactly where it needed to, at home, surrounded by people who had known Sakshi since her childhood.

We spent four profound days in Bhilwara, documenting the pre-wedding celebrations that set the emotional and visual foundation for everything that followed.

Mayera: Family, Tradition, and Blessings

Rooted in tradition and familial blessings, this event brought together generations in a celebration that was intimate in emotion yet expansive in presence. Amidst the scale, the rituals anchored the wedding firmly to its cultural core.

Raas

The wedding festivities opened with Raas, the brainchild of Sakshi herself.

An accomplished and disciplined dancer, Sakshi envisioned this evening as a tribute to Radha and Krishna. She opened the celebrations by She opened the celebrations by dedicating a performance to Somansh, setting the emotional tone for the days ahead.

As the evening progressed, the space came alive with dandiya, colour, rhythm, and collective joy.

Reception

The celebrations were hosted at the home base of the Sangam Group - an institution with a national presence and deep roots in Bhilwara. Naturally, the evening reflected that legacy.

The sheer scale of the guest list made conventional venues in Bhilwara impractical. Adding to that was the unpredictability of July weather. The solution was ambitious and precise—a custom temporary structure.

For four consecutive days, the same space transformed entirely. New decor. New energy. New emotion. Each event felt distinct and thoughtfully designed.

Sakshi ka safar

As Somansh’s family moved to Jaipur to prepare for the destination wedding in Dubai, Sakshi’s family hosted an evening that stood apart in tone and emotion - Sakshi Ka Safar.

This was not a conventional sangeet.

It was a tribute to Sakshi’s life.

The decor itself carried memory. Personal artefacts were woven into the setup; the guitar she first learnt to play on, her earliest ghungroos, her first ID card. Each element quietly narrated a chapter of her journey.

The night unfolded through performances, heartfelt dances, and a full-length skit dedicated to Sakshi, from her childhood to the woman she is today. The family danced late into the night, celebrating her with pride, nostalgia, and unmistakable love.

Through The Hiraaya Lens

This wedding didn’t chase perfection—it felt real. Big families, unexpected weather, emotional speeches, surprise dances, and an after party that stretched into sunrise. It was beautiful in all the ways that matter. And we were lucky to be there for it.
